Genshin Impact’s upcoming update introduces new characters and events

Genshin Impact’s latest update, Version ‘Luna VII,’ introduces new characters Nicole Reeyn and Lohen, along with new events and challenges. The update is set to launch on May 20.

The development team behind Genshin Impact has announced the arrival of Version “Luna VII,” titled “Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana,” set for release on May 20. This update will introduce two new 5-star characters: Nicole Reeyn, known within the Hexenzirkel as “N,” and Lohen, the Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius’ Fifth Company. Additionally, a new 4-star character, Prune, will join the roster, offering powerful support for Hexerei characters.

Travelers will face new challenges as they return to Sumeru to confront a significant threat poised to bring disaster to the nation. Meanwhile, a whimsical fairy-tale adventure unfolds in Inazuma, where Klee, Sayu, and newcomer Prune embark on a journey filled with imagination and fantasy.

Nicole Reeyn, a 5-star Pyro Catalyst wielder, is a guide who bridges the past and present. Her abilities include creating a shield that absorbs damage and deals AoE Pyro DMG. She provides an ATK Bonus to nearby party members, which is enhanced when a Hexerei character is active. Her Elemental Burst grants an Arcane Projection that deals AoE Elemental DMG, with increased damage for Hexerei characters. Outside of combat, Nicole can summon Seelie to guide the way and offers access to her Witch’s Lodge for hidden treasures.

Lohen, a 5-star Cryo Polearm wielder, enters the fray with his own unique combat style. His Elemental Skill and Burst utilize resources called “Joy” and “Will to Win,” enhancing his attacks. His story and the history of the Knights of Favonius will be explored in his Story Quest.

The update also features Prune, a 4-star Anemo Catalyst wielder known as the “Witch Hunter,” who provides off-field DMG and increases team damage output. The first half of the Event Wishes will highlight Nicole and Prune, while the second half will focus on Lohen and Mavuika.

Returning to Sumeru, players will face a mysterious enemy resembling The Doctor, who offers a formidable challenge. A new “Guiding Notes” feature in the Quest Overview will help players track the storyline and character backgrounds. Completing the quest rewards players with Primogems and Nicole’s Ascension Materials.

In Inazuma, a whimsical event featuring mini-games such as “Dodoco’s Bomb-Rally Ruckus” and “Gena’s Great Escape” offers players a chance to earn rewards, including the exclusive weapon appearance “Super Awesome Magic Key.”

Version “Luna VII” also brings updates and surprises, including Echo Cosmetics, a new album, and improvements to Miliastra Wonderland. A sports festival and new events will provide additional rewards, and players can capture memorable moments with their Manekin across Teyvat.

Travelers can look forward to these exciting updates and join the adventure in Teyvat on May 20.
