Amazon EVS expands support to 32 hosts per environment

Amazon Elastic VMware Service now supports up to 32 ESXi hosts per environment, doubling the previous limit. This update aims to reduce operational overhead by allowing greater scalability.

Amazon has announced an enhancement to its Elastic VMware Service (Amazon EVS), now allowing support for up to 32 ESXi hosts in a single environment. This update effectively doubles the previous capacity limit of 16 hosts.

The Amazon EVS platform provides users with the flexibility to configure VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) domains and clusters according to their specific requirements. Users have the option to consolidate all hosts into one large cluster, distribute them across multiple smaller clusters, or implement a combination of both strategies to best suit their operational needs.

With this latest enhancement, customers can now request a service quota increase to scale their environments up to 32 hosts. This expansion aims to streamline operations by minimizing the complexity and overhead associated with managing multiple environments.

The expanded capacity is accessible in all regions where Amazon EVS is currently available. For further information on the procedures and steps involved, users are encouraged to visit the Amazon EVS product detail page and consult the user guide.
