Singapore’s Sands Theatre to host Southeast Asia’s first Gran Turismo World Series event

The 2026 Gran Turismo World Series will hold its Southeast Asian debut at Singapore’s Sands Theatre on October 3, 2026, as part of the Grand Prix™ Season Singapore. Tickets are now available.

Round 3 of the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series is set to take place at Singapore’s Sands Theatre, located within the renowned Marina Bay Sands complex, on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event, organized in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board, will be part of the Grand Prix™ Season Singapore, which runs from October 2 to 11, 2026, leading up to the annual Formula 1 race scheduled for October 9 to 11, 2026. Tickets for this highly anticipated event are currently available for purchase.

The Singapore Regional Time Trial Challenge, conducted in-game on Gran Turismo 7 in August, will feature participants from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The fastest racers from each territory will be invited to compete in the Gran Turismo World Series, culminating in the Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup. The terms and conditions for participation will be detailed on Gran-Turismo.com.

This marks the first occasion that the Gran Turismo World Series will be held in Southeast Asia. Singapore, known for its vibrant automotive, motorsport, and gaming culture, is expected to draw an enthusiastic audience to the Sands Theatre during the Grand Prix Season Singapore.

Lilian Chee, Director of Sports at the Singapore Tourism Board, commented, “As an elite sim racing tournament, the highly regarded Gran Turismo World Series reinforces Singapore’s position as a premier destination for world-class sporting and entertainment events. We look forward to the energy and excitement that Round 3 will bring to our city, adding further vibrancy to this year’s Grand Prix™ Season Singapore.”

Kazunori Yamauchi, Gran Turismo Series Producer, stated, “Singapore is a great place to visit, and we hope that fans of Gran Turismo from across the region will come to watch our top racers in action. The regional Time Trial provides an opportunity to discover talented drivers and offer them a chance to race on stage before a live audience, potentially inspiring them to join the Gran Turismo World Series in the future.”

In addition to the Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup, attendees will witness some of the world’s fastest SIM racers competing in the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup. A single ticket grants access to all three events, taking place on the afternoon and evening of October 3. This event represents the final opportunity for racers to score points before the Gran Turismo World Series heads to Tokyo for the World Finals in early December, promising intense competition.
