Ball x Pit’s second major content update, The Shadow Update, is set to release on April 27 for PS5, introducing new characters, balls, passives, and a building to enhance gameplay.
The development team behind Ball x Pit is excited to announce the release of their second major content update, The Shadow Update, scheduled to launch on April 27 for PS5. This follows the game’s first major update, The Regal Update, which was released earlier this year.
The upcoming Shadow Update introduces several new features aimed at enhancing gameplay. Among these are new ball evolutions that manipulate time, introducing a fresh layer of complexity and excitement to players’ runs. The update also includes an array of new balls, passives, and characters, alongside a new building, all of which are detailed below.
New Characters: Players will be able to explore the abilities of two new characters. The Tunneller, a resourceful miner, features shots that wrap around the screen, allowing for strategic targeting from any angle. The Tiptoer, a stealthy ninja, excels in close-range combat but sacrifices health and damage for stealth.
New Balls: The update introduces 11 new balls with unique effects. For instance, the Venom ball accumulates with each hit, eventually paralyzing enemies. The Time ball creates a timesnare that immobilizes foes within its range. Other new balls include Erosion, Time Bomb, Timestop, Warp, Sniper, and Heart Swallower, each offering distinct strategic advantages.
New Passives: Four new passives are included in the update. Full Metal Rapier increases damage based on the number of active balls and enemies. Arrow of Fate turns defense into offense by making players immune to projectiles and retaliating with a burst of baby balls. Argent Stopwatch and Sword Breaker offer additional gameplay dynamics by affecting damage scaling and enemy interactions.
New Building: The Guildhall is a new addition that allows players to re-roll previously selected character upgrades, providing more flexibility in character development.
