Gran Turismo 7 update 1.69 released with new cars and World Series details

Gran Turismo 7’s latest update, version 1.69, introduces new cars and features, including the Yangwang U9 and Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau. The 2026 Gran Turismo World Series live events are also set to commence.

Polyphony Digital has announced the release of the latest update for Gran Turismo 7, version 1.69, available today. This update introduces several new features and vehicles, including the high-speed 2024 Yangwang U9, which boasts an impressive 1,286 BHP and can accelerate from 0 to 62.1 mph in just 2.36 seconds. Also joining the lineup is the practical 1993 Renault Twingo, featuring a 1.2L inline-4 OHV engine, and the Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau (964) from 1993, known for its classic styling and rarity, with only 86 units ever produced.

The update also expands the gaming experience with a new menu, three additional World Circuits events, and enhanced camera adjustment capabilities in Scapes. Power Pack updates are included, offering players new challenges and rewards based on the number of races completed. Players can access these updates starting at 11:00 pm PT today, April 23 at 7:00 am BST, and 3:00 pm JST.

The new additions to the car roster include:

  • Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau (964) ’93: Available for purchase from Legend Cars, this model represents the third generation of the Porsche 911, with significant advancements in design and technology.
  • Renault Twingo ’93: Available from Used Cars, this A-segment hatchback offers a unique design and innovative features such as sliding rear seats.
  • Yangwang U9 ’24: Available from Brand Central, this supercar utilizes an electric motor at each wheel and features advanced suspension technology for superior handling.

In addition to the vehicle updates, a new Extra Menu focused on Muscle Cars (Collector Level 55 and above) has been added, along with new events at World Circuits, including the Schwarzwald League at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, Hypercar Parade at Yas Marina Circuit, and World Touring Car 900 at Autódromo de Interlagos.

Furthermore, the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series is gearing up for its live events following the completion of the Online Qualifiers. The first event is set to take place in Milan on May 23 at the historic Teatro Lirico, with tickets already in high demand.
