AWS Marketplace introduces Agreements API for programmatic procurement

AWS Marketplace has launched the Agreements API, enabling users to procure products and manage agreements programmatically, enhancing procurement processes and operational efficiency.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace has announced the release of the Agreements API, a new feature that allows users to procure products and manage agreements programmatically. This development provides users with the ability to generate cost estimates, accept product offers, monitor charges and entitlements, update purchase orders, and manage agreements seamlessly within their existing tools and workflows.

Alongside the Discovery API, the Agreements API facilitates a comprehensive procurement process, from the initial discovery of products to final purchase. These APIs can be integrated into procurement systems, allowing organizations to create tailored workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, partners can leverage these APIs to create customized storefronts, offering a cohesive procurement experience for their customers.

The AWS Marketplace Agreements API is currently available in the US East (N. Virginia) Region. To begin using this feature, users need to configure AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) permissions for their AWS account and access the API via the AWS Software Development Kit (SDK). For further information and guidance, users are encouraged to consult the AWS Marketplace Agreement APIs documentation.
