Amazon Route 53 Global Resolver enables dynamic region management for DNS resolution
Amazon Route 53 Global Resolver now allows users to dynamically add and remove AWS Regions for anycast DNS resolution, offering enhanced flexibility for DNS management.
Amazon has announced an enhancement to its Route 53 Global Resolver service, which now allows users to add and remove AWS Regions for anycast DNS resolution. This new feature provides users with greater flexibility in managing where their DNS queries are processed. Organizations can now easily expand their Global Resolver coverage in line with their growth or adjust regional deployments to adhere to compliance requirements.
The Global Resolver service offers anycast DNS resolution for both public internet domains and private Route 53 hosted zones from any location. It also includes features such as DNS query filtering and centralized logging. With the recent update, users can modify which AWS Regions are involved in anycast resolution without the need to recreate their existing Global Resolver configuration.
This new capability is available at no additional cost across all AWS Regions that support Route 53 Global Resolver. To begin utilizing this feature, users are encouraged to consult the Route 53 Global Resolver documentation. For information on regional availability and pricing, users can refer to the Route 53 Global Resolver Region list and Amazon Route 53 pricing page, respectively.
