Samsung Electronics has launched the One UI 9 beta for Galaxy S26 series users, offering new creative tools, customization options, and enhanced security. The beta is available in select markets, with full features to be released later this year.

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the One UI 9 beta program, which is set to launch this week for users of the Galaxy S26 series. Developed on the latest Android 17 platform, the One UI 9 beta aims to enhance user experience with new creative tools, customizable options, improved accessibility, and heightened security measures.

The comprehensive features of One UI 9 will be fully available with the release of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy flagship devices later this year, which will feature advanced artificial intelligence capabilities designed to facilitate seamless mobile interactions.

Updates in One UI 9 Beta

The One UI 9 beta introduces several significant updates across various aspects of mobile functionality. Samsung Notes has been enhanced with new creative tools such as decorative tapes and a broader selection of pen line styles. Additionally, the Contacts app now allows direct access to Creative Studio for crafting personalized profile cards without needing to switch between applications.

The revamped Quick Panel offers users more control over its configuration, enabling independent adjustments for brightness, sound, and media player settings, with additional size options to cater to individual preferences.

Accessibility improvements include an adjustable Mouse Key speed for smoother cursor movement, and a unified TalkBack package that consolidates previously separate features from Google and Samsung. The new Text Spotlight feature enhances readability by displaying selected text more prominently in a floating window.

Security enhancements in One UI 9 include better protection against potentially harmful apps. The system now alerts users when high-risk apps are detected, blocks their execution and installation, and suggests removal through updated security policies.

Availability

The One UI 9 beta program will be accessible to Galaxy S26 series users in select markets, including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US, starting this week. Users can join the beta program by applying through the Samsung Members app.

Service availability may vary by region, country, OS/One UI version, device model, and phone carrier. Some features require the installation of the Creative Studio app and a Samsung Account login, and may also depend on network connection. Security policy updates aim to enhance device security through operational policy changes and may include updates to the list of apps considered high-risk according to Samsung’s internal assessment.
