AWS Network Firewall launch in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud

AWS Network Firewall is now available in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, enabling European clients to secure sensitive data while complying with EU regulations.

AWS has announced the availability of its Network Firewall service in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, effective immediately. This development allows European clients, especially those operating in heavily regulated sectors, government bodies, and organizations with stringent data sovereignty obligations, to implement AWS Network Firewall for safeguarding their most sensitive operations while adhering to European Union (EU) data protection laws.

This expansion enables users of the AWS European Sovereign Cloud to utilize the same AWS Network Firewall features available in other AWS Regions, while guaranteeing that all data and activities are confined within EU borders and managed under EU jurisdiction. AWS Network Firewall is a managed service that offers crucial network security for Amazon Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs). It automatically adjusts to network traffic volumes to ensure high availability without requiring users to establish or manage the underlying infrastructure.

For further details on AWS Network Firewall availability, customers can refer to the AWS Region Table. Additional information is also accessible on the AWS Network Firewall product page and through the service documentation.
