Hyundai Motor introduces high-speed EV chargers at Nürburgring

Hyundai Motor has installed ultra-fast EV chargers at the Nürburgring, offering 400-kW DC charging for Hyundai N customers, who can charge for free using the ‘Charge myHyundai’ app starting in April.

Hyundai Motor has taken a significant step in enhancing electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure by installing ultra-fast chargers at the entrance of the Nürburgring Tourist Drive. This initiative is part of the company’s commitment to providing ‘Performance for All’ and aims to support the growing number of EV users.

The newly installed chargers boast a maximum output of 400-kW DC, allowing for rapid charging across four designated points. This development is expected to cater to the needs of EV enthusiasts and Hyundai N customers who frequent the renowned Nürburgring circuit.

Starting in April, Hyundai N customers will have the opportunity to charge their vehicles for free using the ‘Charge myHyundai’ mobile application. This service enhancement underscores Hyundai’s dedication to promoting sustainable mobility solutions and providing added value to its customers.

The strategic placement of these chargers at the Nürburgring, a location synonymous with automotive performance and testing, highlights Hyundai’s focus on integrating high-performance EV solutions in key automotive hubs. By offering free charging to its customers, Hyundai is not only encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles but also reinforcing its brand loyalty among performance car enthusiasts.

This move aligns with Hyundai’s broader vision of expanding its electric vehicle offerings and infrastructure, ensuring that high-speed charging is accessible to a wider audience. The initiative is expected to set a precedent for other automotive manufacturers to follow, as the industry continues to shift towards more sustainable and efficient transportation solutions.
