AWS HealthImaging has been launched in the AWS Europe (London) Region, offering a new opportunity for healthcare providers, life sciences organizations, and their software partners to efficiently manage medical images. As a service compliant with HIPAA, AWS HealthImaging facilitates the storage, analysis, and sharing of medical images at a petabyte scale.

The service provides a fully managed infrastructure for handling medical imaging data, utilizing DICOMWeb APIs for seamless integration with existing applications, as well as AWS-native APIs for those opting for cloud-first solutions. Organizations using AWS HealthImaging can potentially lower their storage costs by up to 40% compared to traditional self-managed solutions. Additionally, it enables quicker access to images for clinical workflows and supports the accelerated development of AI-driven diagnostic tools, all while ensuring stringent security measures for sensitive data.

AWS HealthImaging is now generally available in multiple AWS Regions, including US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Europe (Ireland), and Europe (London). For further details, interested parties can refer to the AWS HealthImaging Developer Guide.
