AWS Management Console introduces customizable service and region visibility settings
AWS has made available new settings in the Management Console to control service and region visibility, enhancing user navigation and experience. These settings are customizable through the console or programmatically, with no extra cost.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the general availability of new settings in the AWS Management Console, allowing users to control the visibility of services and regions. These settings, known as Visible Services and Visible Regions, enable account administrators to tailor the console’s display for authorized users, making it easier for them to identify accessible services and regions while simplifying their navigation experience.
The configuration of these settings can be done directly through the AWS Management Console by accessing the Unified Settings in the Account Settings tab. Additionally, users can programmatically manage these settings through the User Experience Customization (UXC) feature available in the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI), AWS Software Development Kits (SDKs), AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), or AWS CloudFormation.
The introduction of Visible Services and Visible Regions settings is designed to enhance user experience by providing a more streamlined and personalized interface. These settings are available in AWS Commercial Regions and do not incur any additional costs for users.
For further information on configuring these settings, users are encouraged to consult the AWS User Experience Customization documentation and API guide.
