Hyundai Motor Group secures 16 IIHS top safety awards for 2026
Hyundai Motor Group has been awarded 16 top safety accolades by the IIHS for 2026, including 15 TOP SAFETY PICK+ and one TOP SAFETY PICK, under new, stricter testing criteria.
Hyundai Motor Group has been recognized with a total of 16 awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for the year 2026, underscoring its commitment to vehicle safety. The group received 15 TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) awards and one TOP SAFETY PICK (TSP) award, reflecting its success in meeting the more rigorous safety standards set by the IIHS for this year.
The Hyundai brand was awarded seven accolades, with six vehicles achieving the TSP+ status and one obtaining the TSP distinction. This achievement highlights Hyundai’s dedication to advancing safety features across its vehicle lineup.
Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury vehicle division, also demonstrated outstanding performance, securing five awards for 2026. All five awards were TSP+, showcasing the brand’s emphasis on integrating top-tier safety features in its premium models.
Kia, another brand under the Hyundai Motor Group umbrella, earned four TSP+ awards. This recognition reflects Kia’s ongoing efforts to enhance vehicle safety and protect its customers on the road.
