Samsung Electronics, a global leader in display technology and the Official Art TV provider for Art Basel, has announced the launch of the Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 Collection. This curated digital exhibition is exclusively accessible on the Samsung Art Store and showcases 20 contemporary artists featured at Art Basel Hong Kong, which is scheduled for March 27-29 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Samsung will have a dedicated booth to demonstrate how its Micro RGB, OLED, and The Frame Pro displays present each piece of art in exquisite detail.

Bongjun Ko, Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, stated, “Building on six years of collaboration with Art Basel, this collection exemplifies the quality of art available on Samsung Art Store, transforming homes into personal galleries that cater to diverse tastes. Our advanced display technology brings priceless artworks into homes with stunning realism, enabling anyone to become a collector.”

From today, the collection will be available in 4K resolution on the Samsung Art Store, extending Samsung’s enduring partnership with Art Basel and bringing the fair’s experience to a global audience beyond the physical exhibition halls.

Introducing the Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 Collection

The Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 Collection includes 25 artworks from 20 emerging and established artists represented by eight esteemed galleries: Bank, CLC Gallery Venture, Don Gallery, Tomio Koyama, Pearl Lam, Lin & Lin, Rossi & Rossi, and Vacancy.

This carefully curated collection encapsulates the cultural vibrancy and diverse perspectives that characterize Hong Kong’s contemporary art scene. Highlights include:

  • Chinese artistic heritage and innovation, represented by works from 11 Chinese artists spanning six decades of contemporary practice.
  • Michael Najjar’s “Europa” (2016), by the German painter and trained astronaut set to participate in an upcoming spaceflight with Virgin Galactic’s VSS Unity.
  • Sun Yitian’s “Ken” (2023), featured in major international collections and a collaboration with Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection.
  • Ha Bik Chuen’s “Wheatfield A” (1994) and “Untitled” (1995), with Chuen being a self-taught contemporary artist whose extensive archive is being digitally cataloged by the Asia Art Archive.

Angelle Siyang-Le, Director of Art Basel Hong Kong, commented, “Art Basel Hong Kong continually seeks ways to expand how people experience art. Our partnership with Samsung makes art more accessible and high-quality, not replacing the gallery experience but allowing more people to live with exceptional art daily.”

Celebrating Cultural Legacy: The Lee Kun-Hee Collection

During Art Basel Hong Kong 2026, Samsung will also present a curated selection of 20 works from the Lee Kun-Hee Collection on the Samsung Art Store, in collaboration with the National Museum of Korea. Recognized as one of Korea’s most significant private art collections, the works from the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-Hee’s collection reflect a commitment to cultural preservation and public accessibility.

These cherished pieces, including “Sun, Moon and Five Peaks,” “Ten Symbols of Longevity,” and “Scholar’s Accoutrements in a Bookcase,” have influenced artistic discourse across generations and continue to resonate within contemporary art circles.

The selection will be accessible on the Samsung Art Store until January 2027, providing global audiences with digital access to significant works of Korean artistic heritage. The National Museum of Korea and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art are co-hosting “Korean National Treasures: 2,000 Years of Art,” the second overseas touring exhibition of Lee Kun-Hee’s donations, at The Art Institute of Chicago until July 5.
