Samsung maintains leadership in European microwave market for 11th year
Samsung Electronics continues to lead the European microwave market for the eleventh year, driven by innovative design and smart technology integration. The company remains committed to addressing consumer needs with durable and user-friendly appliances.
Samsung Electronics has announced its continued dominance as the leading microwave brand in Europe, marking the eleventh consecutive year it has held this position. According to data from Euromonitor International, Samsung achieved the highest retail volume sales of microwaves across Europe in 2025, maintaining its top spot since 2015.
Sang Jik Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the Sales & Marketing Team for Samsung’s Digital Appliances Business, commented on this achievement by stating, “Our sustained leadership in Europe for over a decade is a testament to our commitment to addressing the changing needs of consumers. By integrating premium design with user-friendly features and smart connectivity, we aim to further consolidate our market position.”
Samsung has consistently adapted its microwave products to consumer demands, incorporating features that enhance convenience in the kitchen. A notable feature is the CERAMIC INSIDE, a ceramic-coated interior that facilitates easy cleaning and maintains its color despite exposure to high heat and grease. The surface is also significantly more scratch-resistant compared to stainless steel, ensuring long-lasting durability.
In 2024, Samsung broadened its product range with the introduction of a smart convection microwave oven, which enhances convenience through compatibility with SmartThings. This feature allows users to monitor and control the appliance remotely via smartphones, even when they are not in the kitchen. The microwave also supports voice control through assistants like Bixby, creating a more integrated cooking experience.
Samsung has further expanded its offerings with new grill and solo microwave models, characterized by a seamless stainless-steel design. Available in 32L and 23L capacities, these models cater to various cooking preferences and household sizes. The unified stainless-steel design ensures these models fit harmoniously within modern kitchen aesthetics.
The latest models are designed with recessed handles for ease of opening, even in confined spaces such as cupboards. Additionally, the control panel offers a streamlined user experience, enhancing usability while complementing the overall design.
