Samsung is expanding its One UI 8.5 beta program to include more Galaxy devices, with the rollout occurring in select markets. The program introduces features like AirDrop support for seamless file sharing.

Samsung is broadening the reach of its One UI 8.5 beta program to include a wider range of Galaxy devices. Initially launched in March, the beta program is now accessible to more devices such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy S23 FE, and for the first time on the A series, the Galaxy A36 5G. The rollout is set to occur in specific markets including India, Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as part of a phased distribution.

In collaboration with Android, Samsung is enhancing the One UI 8.5 beta with features like support for AirDrop through Quick Share, facilitating smoother cross-platform file sharing for users of certain Galaxy devices. This feature will be available on models such as the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6.

The beta initiative is expected to extend to additional Galaxy models later in the month. Interested users can enroll in the program through the Samsung Members app.

Previously, the March 2026 rollout of the One UI 8.5 beta included support for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S24 FE, and the Galaxy Tab S11 series. Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 have been supported in Korea and the United States, while the Galaxy A36 5G has been available in India. The availability and timing of features like AirDrop may vary by market and are currently accessible on the Galaxy S26 series.
