Amazon Connect expands attachment capabilities with larger file sizes and custom types
Amazon Connect has enhanced its platform to support larger attachment file sizes up to 100 MB and custom file types, enabling more efficient operations across various industries.
Amazon Connect has announced an enhancement to its platform, allowing for larger attachment file sizes and the inclusion of custom file types across various features such as chat, cases, and tasks. The maximum file size for attachments has been increased to 100 MB, a significant rise from the previous limit of 20 MB. This update is designed to streamline processes for users by reducing the need for multiple exchanges and enabling more efficient issue resolution.
Administrators now have the ability to enable these larger file limits and configure custom file extensions through the Amazon Connect admin website or by utilizing Amazon Connect APIs. This flexibility allows a range of businesses, from technology enterprises to financial services firms, to cater to their specific needs. For instance, technology companies can now receive diagnostic bundles and log archives directly through chat, facilitating quicker problem-solving. Meanwhile, financial service providers can enable file extensions that allow customers to attach signed contracts or compliance documents directly via chat or email.
The expanded attachment capabilities are available in several AWS Regions, including US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai, Seoul, Osaka, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo), Africa (Cape Town), Canada (Central), and Europe (Frankfurt, London).
For further details on how to implement these new features, users are encouraged to visit the Amazon Connect website and refer to the ‘Enable Attachments’ section in the Amazon Connect Administrator Guide.
