ColorOS 15 Update Brings Offline Messaging and Better Multitasking to OPPO Phones
OPPO has begun rolling out the ColorOS 15 August 2025 update, with the phased release set to finish by August 31. The update is reaching several Find and Reno models, including the Find N5, Find N3 Flip, Find N3, Find X8 and X8 Pro, as well as the Reno14, Reno13, Reno12, and Reno11 families.
One of the standout features in this update is BeaconLink. It lets you send messages, images, and even voice clips to people nearby without needing mobile data or Wi-Fi. This could be handy in areas where the internet isn’t available. Another big addition is Split View, which improves multitasking by allowing you to resize split-screen apps however you like, instead of being forced into fixed screen ratios.
There are also improvements in Private Safe, where you can now store unlimited files in the Documents section and organize your images and videos more easily with sorting tools and customizable album covers. System tweaks make using your phone smoother, with cleaner animations for floating windows and simplified notifications when using apps in landscape mode.
As always, OPPO is releasing the update in batches, meaning not everyone will get it right away. But by August 31, 2025, all eligible devices should have the update.
