Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Fold 7 with Galaxy AI & 7-Year Updates
Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025. The foldable features a sleek, ultra-thin design, 8-inch main display with a Flex Mode interface, and One UI 8 based on Android 16. Notable is Generative Edit, which lets users remove or move objects simply by holding them—leveraging Galaxy AI on a large, flexible display.
The device packs a triple-camera system (200 MP main, 10 MP telephoto, 12 MP ultrawide), a 4,400 mAh dual battery, and fast 25W charging. Samsung also committed to 7 years of OS and security updates, extending support through October 2032.
This launch underscores Samsung’s push into AI-first experiences embedded into flagship hardware, while investing in long-term software support—an increasingly key selling point. By integrating Galaxy AI into hardware and promising extended software lifecycles on its foldables, Samsung aims to bridge cutting-edge innovation with device longevity.
