Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam partners with Samsung Art Store to showcase modern European art
Samsung Electronics and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam have partnered to showcase modern European art on the Samsung Art Store, featuring works from renowned artists like Henri Matisse and Vincent van Gogh.
Samsung Electronics has announced a collaboration with the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam to feature a curated selection of modern and contemporary artworks from the museum’s collection on the Samsung Art Store.
The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam is renowned for its association with influential art movements such as De Stijl, and its focus on modern art and design. The museum’s collection includes works characterized by vibrant colors, geometric shapes, and bold compositions, elements that continue to inspire contemporary interior and object design.
Among the highlights of the collection now available on the Samsung Art Store is Henri Matisse’s “The Parakeet and the Mermaid,” along with pieces by other renowned artists such as Kazimir Malevich, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Claude Monet, and Jan Toorop. These works exemplify the diversity and richness of the Stedelijk’s modern European art collection.
The integration of art into living spaces is becoming increasingly popular, with art taking center stage in home environments. The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam joins other prestigious institutions featured on the Samsung Art Store, such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, and Tate, alongside a variety of editorial, photographic, and design-focused brands.
Rein Wolfs, Director of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam aims to introduce modern art and design to the widest possible audience. This collaboration is a significant development, allowing people worldwide to explore our collection in detail from the comfort of their homes.”
Marta Di Gioia, Curator for Samsung Art Store Europe, added, “At Samsung, we see the home as a key space for experiencing art. By featuring works like Matisse’s ‘The Parakeet and the Mermaid’ on the Samsung Art Store, we enable people to live with art that has shaped modern culture.”
Samsung Art TVs, including the OLED models set to join in 2026, are central to this experience, seamlessly displaying artwork in modern homes. The Samsung Art Store, now accessible on more Samsung TVs, offers a growing collection spanning various genres and eras, redefining how art is discovered and experienced.
The Samsung Art Store is available exclusively on select OLED models, specifically the S95H globally and the S99H in Europe.
