Samsung secures top accolades at Red Dot Design Awards

Samsung Electronics has announced a significant achievement by securing a total of 16 awards at the prestigious Red Dot Design Awards, including the highest distinction, ‘Best of the Best,’ for its OLED TV S95H and Bespoke AI Laundry series. This accomplishment underscores Samsung’s innovative design capabilities, particularly through its “Expressive Design” strategy.

Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer of the Device eXperience Division at Samsung Electronics, emphasized the company’s design philosophy: “Expressive Design is our way of putting people at the center, celebrating their identity, emotions, and diversity. We design not only to function but to create meaning and connection. Our ambition is to enrich people’s lives through experiences that are both purposeful and deeply human.”

The Red Dot Design Award, established in 1955 by Germany’s Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, is recognized globally as a leading design accolade. It celebrates excellence in Product Design, Design Concept, and Brands & Communication Design.

Two standout winners for design innovation

The S95H OLED TV was noted for its FloatLayer design, which combines an ultra-thin OLED display with a metallic plate, creating a layered aesthetic that makes the screen appear to float. This design not only enhances visual immersion through vivid contrast but also seamlessly integrates into interior spaces like a sophisticated piece of art.

Similarly, the Bespoke AI Laundry series impressed with its mono-body design concept, harmonizing standalone washing machines, dryers, and combos under a unified design language. This approach allows the appliances to blend into various interior settings. The series also features a Smart Screen, a 7-inch LCD that enhances usability with an intuitive control experience. Integrated with SmartThings, it offers AI-driven, personalized solutions for daily convenience.

Beyond the top honors, Samsung achieved the distinction of having all 16 entries recognized as winners. The lineup included:
