Samsung introduces ‘Trips’ feature in wallet app for global travelers

Samsung Electronics has announced ‘Trips’, a new feature in Samsung Wallet designed to streamline travel experiences for Galaxy users. Launching in April 2026, it will be available in Korea, the U.S., and the U.K.

Samsung Electronics has unveiled a new feature called ‘Trips’ in its Samsung Wallet app, aimed at assisting Samsung Galaxy users in organizing and managing travel-related activities all in one place. This feature is designed for travelers seeking a seamless experience and quicker access to crucial travel details throughout their journeys. By consolidating eligible travel items in Samsung Wallet, Trips provides essential travel information exactly when needed.

“Travel plans are often scattered across confirmations, apps, and messages, creating friction at the moments when clarity is most needed,” stated Woncheol Chai, Executive Vice President and Head of the Digital Wallet Team, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “With Trips integrated into Samsung Wallet, we provide Galaxy users with a centralized location to keep their travel details organized, allowing them to stay one step ahead as their plans progress.”

The feature introduces a Trip timeline, which aggregates all travel-related plans into a single view, thereby structuring busy itineraries and ensuring a smoother journey from start to finish. By adding eligible items to Samsung Wallet, Trips categorizes them based on time and location, enabling travelers to maintain a cohesive itinerary despite details originating from various sources.

Users can manage a variety of travel-related activities, including hotel bookings, flight itineraries, car rentals, and excursions, as well as tickets for buses, trains, theme parks, and sporting events. Trips also allows for the manual addition of itinerary items and the inclusion of memos alongside saved items, enabling users to capture important reminders, plans, and notes throughout their journey.

Trips highlights Samsung’s ongoing dedication to evolving Samsung Wallet into a more valuable everyday companion. The company plans to continue expanding Samsung Wallet with new features and partner experiences, simplifying access and management of essential items for Samsung Galaxy users, including during travel.

Samsung Wallet ensures user peace of mind through Samsung Knox, the company’s leading security platform, using encryption and biometric authentication to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring only the device owner can access it.

Samsung Wallet is designed as a secure, user-friendly platform, helping Galaxy users organize daily essentials—from payment cards to boarding passes—within a single mobile application. It offers a refined interface and seamless access, supporting an open ecosystem through trusted partner integrations that enhance user experiences over time.
