OnePlus Rolls Out OxygenOS 15.0.0.850 for OnePlus 13 in India with BeaconLink and Major UI Enhancements
OnePlus has begun the incremental rollout of OxygenOS 15.0.0.850 for its flagship OnePlus 13 in the Indian market. The update, carrying firmware version CPH2649_15.0.0.850(EX01), is currently being delivered in batches, with a small percentage of users receiving it first before a broader release in the coming days.
The new software package focuses on enhancing user experience and adding useful features. One of the most notable inclusions is BeaconLink, a feature that allows users to send text, image, and voice messages to nearby OnePlus devices without the need for an internet connection. This could prove invaluable in scenarios with poor or no network coverage, enabling direct device-to-device communication. BeaconLink can be accessed under Settings → Mobile network → BeaconLink.
UI refinements take centre stage in this release, with improved animations for opening, repositioning, and resizing floating windows, making multitasking feel more fluid. The Private Safe app gains the ability to share images and videos, customise album covers, sort media by time, and store files directly under a new “Other files” category.
Split View has also been upgraded — users are no longer restricted to fixed screen ratios and can now freely adjust the divider when using two apps side-by-side in landscape mode. The update further streamlines multitasking with changes to the Recent Tasks screen, allowing users to change an app’s lock status via a simple swipe gesture when tasks are stacked.
Landscape notifications have been redesigned into simplified banners, reducing on-screen clutter. These banners can be expanded into floating windows with a swipe down, offering quick access without disrupting the current activity.
Rounding off the update is the August 2025 Android security patch, ensuring the device remains secure against the latest threats.
As with all OxygenOS rollouts, the update is being pushed in stages, so not all users will receive it immediately. OnePlus advises users to watch for the OTA notification over the coming days as the release expands across the Indian region.
