Samsung receives multiple accolades at Edison Awards 2026

Samsung Electronics announced today that it has been recognized with two gold and two silver awards at the esteemed Edison Awards 2026, which took place on April 15-16 in Fort Myers, Florida. The company’s innovative entries, including the Smart Modular House, Vision AI Companion, Spatial Signage, and the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, were acknowledged for their advanced technological features.

The Edison Awards, established in 1987 by the American Marketing Association and named after inventor Thomas Edison, recognize excellence in product and service development, marketing, and human-centered design. Winners are chosen by a panel of industry experts, scientists, and academics based on stringent innovation criteria. This year, awards were distributed across 14 categories, with projects being awarded gold, silver, and bronze tiers.

Vision AI Companion (VAC): This groundbreaking TV experience redefines user interaction with content. Featuring a generative AI-based button, users can engage with content in innovative ways, such as inquiring about plotlines or characters, searching for related information, or controlling playback using voice commands. By simplifying the interface and eliminating complex menus and remotes, VAC offers a seamless and intuitive TV viewing experience.

Silver Award-Winning Innovations

Spatial Signage: This groundbreaking glasses-free 3D display provides an immersive experience powered by Samsung’s patented 3D Plate technology. With a slim profile of just 52 mm, this innovative solution integrates seamlessly into commercial settings such as retail stores, exhibitions, and entertainment venues. Its advanced optics and precision engineering set new standards for next-generation displays, delivering a captivating visual experience.

Bespoke AI Laundry Combo: This all-in-one unit combines washing and drying functions into a single, compact design. The combo efficiently completes the entire laundry process — from load detection to dry cycle. Featuring a Smart Screen with a 7-inch touchscreen, it offers a more intuitive interface. Its AI Wash & Dry cycle adjusts its performance for each load based on different fabric types and soil levels, ensuring optimal results.
